Birth Parents

aola_2If you have a few moments we would like to share our philosophy with you:

Our program at Act of Love Adoptions is committed to your well being and will assure you a full range of options and services designed specifically for you. Our approach is non-judgmental and non-coercive. Our goal is to empower and support you. Our objective is to provide important and relevant information to you so that you may make an informed decision that uniquely meets your needs.

Adoptions today can be different than adoptions of many years ago, in that there is a growing trend toward more openness in adoptions. You may choose the family and be specific in terms of race, religion, if you want a childless family, or if you want a family with children so your child will have siblings.  You may receive photos and letters throughout your child’s eighteen years and communicate with your child through our agency. These are some of the options available to you.

If allowable in your state, we can provide you with living expenses in the form of rent, food, utilities, clothing and transportation. Counseling is also available before and after placement. We also have an educational component to our program. If you are interested in this aspect of our program we would be happy to discuss this with you.

Our staff includes members of the adoption triad whose voices lend personal meaning to our services. You have a right to be treated with dignity and respect and we at Act of Love Adoptions will do just that. We are committed to making this a positive experience in your life.

Our services include:
  • FREE Counseling Services: Licensed social workers are available 24 hours a day to support birth parents
  • ASSISTANCE with Medical Care: Prenatal, birthing, and post-partum medical care is available to all birth mothers
  • FREE Legal Consultation: We provide information about your rights as a birth parent, and coordinate all legal work concerning your adoption. You have the right to your own attorney separate from the agency to represent you
  • FREE Post-Placement Services: Counseling services are available to assist birth parents in addressing issues associated with adoption
  • ASSISTANCE with Living Expenses and Transportation: We’ll make all necessary arrangements (as allowed according to state law) to be sure you and your baby are comfortable, protected, and safe
  • PERSONALIZED Adoption Plans: We tailor the plan according to your needs. We also carefully screen families and prepare them for adoption. You will have the opportunity to meet the family you have chosen before the birth. You will receive photos and letters until your child turns eighteen years old.
